The Organization of American States (OAS) has had systems from DIS installed in their meeting rooms for several years - both portable and fixed installed systems. The OAS selected DIS as the supplier of their conferencing and interpretation system needs primarily because of the quality of the electronics and technical support from the manufacturer and strong local distributor support.
In the Simon Bolivar room you will find DIS digital flush mounted microphones for 39 delegates and simultaneous interpretation in four languages for the delegates, support staff and observers. The basic system - installed originally in 2001 was a mix of the CDS 4000 analog and DCS 6000 digital system. It was later upgraded to a fully digital conference system.

The Padilla Vidal & Gabriella Mistral Meeting Room have DIS digital portable microphones for up to 50 delegates and simultaneous interpretation in four languages for all meeting participants in each of these two rooms. The electronics are permanently installed in two control rooms and utilize AMX external control.
In the Guerra Meeting Room there are DIS digital portable microphones for up to 50 delegates and simultaneous interpretation in four languages for the delegates, support staff and observers.
The drug enforcement arm of the OAS, CICAD has a portable analog system, which is used in many different environments and countries. This system supports up to 50 delegates with microphones and 4 languages of simultaneous interpretation.
The complete installation was made by CSI, Conference Systems, Inc. The OAS are very satisfied as both DIS and Conference Systems, Inc have been responsive to their needs and even custom manufactured flush plates to allow the retrofit of the Simon Bolivar room from an earlier system.
