The AO 6004 Audio Output Unit is a 4 channel digital to analogue audio converter designed for the DCS 6000 Digital Conference System. It is used as the D/A converter for analogue language distribution systems, such as infrared or wired transmission systems, tape- or harddisk recorders etc.

2 I/O RJ45 chain loop through sockets for connection to the DCS LAN - the all digital communication bus. 4 XLR sockets for 4 analogue transformer balanced and groundlifted audio outputs - Automatic channel assignment at start-up:
Output A - channel 0 Output B - channel 1 Output C - channel 2 Output D - channel 3 - Assignment of channels to outputs can be changed using SW 6000

 The AO 6004 can be used as a single unit, installed in a 19" rack
 or inserted in a slot at the back of the CU 6005 Central Unit |

The AO 6004 can be controlled from a PC configured with the SW 6000 Conference Management Software. The SW 6000 can be used for changing the assignments of channels tooutputs and for setting the volume.
The AO 6004 is connected to the unique DIS digital communication bus - the DCS-LAN as any other DCS 6000 unit. By controlling it from the Central Unit or a PC configured with the SW 6000, it can be connected anywherein the system.
Up to 20 AO 6004 can be combined in one system to decode more channels. |
