The peaceful scent of Buddhism has spread over Thailand again when hosting the holy event; ICUNDV Conference 2009: The Conference of International Council of United Nations Day of Vesak Celebrations on 4-6 May 2009.
The 3 venues - the gigantic auditorium of Buddhamonthon, Nakorn Pathom province, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), and The United Nations (UN) in Bangkok were visited by thousands of delegates from more than 20 countries. The rectors, venerable monks and nuns, disciples, professors, students, and other interested people have joined this conference.
DIS partner, BICS2000, has been a part of this event by being the messenger, using DIS Interpretation System to deliver critical Buddhist concepts about Dhamma, and Buddhist approach to the world’s crisis to them.
In many rooms at the buildings at MCU, and the great auditorium of Buddhamonthon, DIS Interpretation Systems with more than 5 languages such as English, Chinese Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai, had been set with more than a thousand headsets. DIS Conference Microphone System and audio system played important roles as well.
