15th ASEAN Summit Thailand at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Cha-Am, Petchaburi Province 
 
 


 



The 15th ASEAN Summit was held for the last time in Thailand this year round. BICS2000, DIS partner has again been back to the Dusit Thani Hotel, Cha-Am, Petchaburi Province where the first period of the 14th ASEAN Summit had been held.
The key meetings are such as 12th ASEAN Plus Three Summit attended by H.E. Mr. Wen Jiabao, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Lee Myung-Bak, President of the Republic of Korea, H.E. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, Prime Minister of Japan,  4th East Asia Summit attended by leaders from ASEAN Plus Three and, H.E. Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of the Republic India, Rt. Hon. Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Rt. Hon. John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand. There were also other meetings namely, 12th ASEAN-China Summit, 12th ASEAN-Japan Summit, 12th ASEAN-ROK Summit, 7th ASEAN-India Summit, and etc.
Aligned in the Royal Dusit Grand Hall and Ballroms, 400 DIS digital interpretation headsets, 200 DIS infrared interpretation headsets, 20 digital conference microphones, 140 analog conference microphones with 6 control units were said to be one of the keys to the conference’s success as well as audio and visual system for all session and hundreds computers including office automations for all country and secretariat rooms.
And on the 25th October, the event ended successfully when H.E. Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Prime Minister has passed on the chairmanship to Vietnam for the next ASEAN Summit conference.
Even though the season of the ASEAN Summit has passed Thailand, BICS and DIS still have a lot more conferences throughout the end of this year until the next. And we look forward to telling you the stories.		 Closing the meeting
