Tailor made parliamentary system for the Brussels Parliament
The Belgium DIS distributor ASC has won a contract to develop, produce and install DIS Conference, Voting and Interpretation Equipment in the Brussels Parliament, Belgium. The contract was won on the fact that DIS was able to meet all the specific requirements with respect to software- as well as hardware designs.
The requirements were very specific and set in accordance with the unique Belgium parliamentary rules for voting procedures. The challenges for DIS were defined as to develop a software package that is unique and tailor made to handle the very specific voting procedures.
Further a substantial part of the equipment is customised to meet the architectural requirements. The member panels are custom made in size and colour. |

Another tailor made part is the large voting display unit which shows both the total voting results and the indi-vidual votes arranged in a geographic layout. The 1,4 x 2,5 meter display is wall mounted.
The Brussels Parliament has been equipped with the DIS CDS 4000 Microphone System, the DIS CIE 9000 Interpreters Equipment for 1+3 languages and the DIS Digital Congress System 5000 for the parliament hall.
In total 167 microphone stations and 444 wired and wireless infrared listening positions in four rooms have been supplied.
