DANISH INTERPRETATION SYSTEMS, DIS has signed a contract to develop, produce and install Sound, Conference, Voting and Interpretation Equipment in the AL-SHURA Parliament in Riyadh.
The requirements are historically advanced. A substantial part of the equipment will be customised to meet the very advanced specifications. The voting software will be a completely new development for the Al-Shura parliament.
All 25 Conference Rooms will be equipped with state of the art DIS Congress Electronics. The three main halls can house hundreds of delegates, who each will be equipped with a high resolution 12" touch LCD Display. Via the LCD display and computer network (UNIX and WinNT) the delegate can control the delegate microphone, enter the vote and always find important information required for the proceedings (allowing participation in the meeting). |

The special DIS mini PC developed for the project. The DIS tailor made Arabic software is running on Windows NT on each client PC.

The Chairman and the secretary each have a 20" touch screen with relevant controls and information for directing the meetings.
The audio quality must be of the highest standard to meet the broadcast demands when the Television and Radio are broadcasting directly from the Parliament meetings.
The digital mixer provides an unprecedented flexibility. Any audio or video signal from meetings in the Al-Shura parliament can be routed to all of the conference rooms separately.
A very high level of redundancy will ensure uninterrupted meetings and no lost data. All controlling and powering equipment has a back-up system. Furthermore The King and The Speaker have live spare units to avoid any external interference (each has hot redundant conference electronics).
Again the Danish systems are on the cutting-edge of advanced technology and are setting new standards for conference electronics world-wide. |
